♡♡HAPPY TAILS

♡♡HAPPY TAILS: MURRAY KRISTOPHER (formerly COSTELLO)!!♡♡

Karen, Conrad and family adopted Murray Kristopher (formerly known as Costello) from HBR just over a year ago! As he celebrates his Gotcha Day, we checked in to get an update!

The family shared the following news:
“Murray Kristopher loves to chase and wrestle with his human brother. Loves laying in the sunshine on the back deck and walking off leash on the trails in our local forest. He likes to eat EVERYTHING! He can’t stand it if the 3 of us hug and he’s not included, he joins in every time.”

When asked if he had any issues adapting to his new home, they replied: “He made himself at home right away by pooping outside his kennel within the first 10 minutes of his arrival. Even though he is over 90lbs now, he still thinks every other dog is out to hurt him no matter what the size. After 15 seconds or so he warms right up and wants to play.”

The family shared this advice for folks considering adoption: “Have a couple visits with your entire family before hand. Make sure everybody is willing to share the responsibility for your new family member. Murray is the perfect addition to our family. He is easily the best decision we have made!”

We are so happy to hear that Murray is doing great and getting major love from his forever family! Thank you for choosing adoption!

ETTA UPDATE

HIYA….how are you doing? Hope you are all staying safe at home with your loved ones. I’ve been trying to stay home with my foster family as much as I can but I ran into some yucky health stuff over the past few weeks. I wasn’t sure what was going on. I didn’t want to eat anything and I got really little – if that is even possible cuz I’m only 20 lbs. on a good day. My foster parents were really worried about me and so were my cool vets. But after a stay at the vet hospital with lots of love, care and icky medicines, I started to feel better. I started to eat again and put on some weight. I’m still struggling with my bad kidneys and some other stuff, but I’m a fighter. I am doing my best to get better. I have even decided it’s ok to get my fluids needle everyday cuz I secretly know it makes me feel better. I’m back at my foster pad now with my fur sibling P who was “apparently” very worried about me. 🙂 My journey continues, but now it is real important for me to only eat my kidney food and take my meds. I may have to have another surgery to fix some other things, but I’m not sure yet. I just wanted y’all to know that I am doing much better and I’m spending my days suntanning and napping!

I was just wondering if you wanted to help me out? It would be so great if you have a few extra dollars, which I know is tough right now, but if you do, I’d love it if you could buy some of my special food for me? I can only eat Hill’s Prescription k/d food (kidney diet)- wet food or dry food. If you’d like to sponsor some food for me, you can call my vet @ [198069153552727:274:Beaches Animal Hospital Toronto] at 416.690.4040 and buy some food for me, ETTA from HBR. They will let my foster parents know and they can pick it up.

Thanks for listening to my story – I’m little but mighty. I like talking. And my story isn’t over yet! Please do not pay attention to my foster mum who is photobombing my pic. Tsk. Tsk. 🙂 Much love, Etta.xo

MEET MATILDA

MEET MATILDA, 9 YR OLD BULLDOG!!

Favourite Kardashian is Khloe, Obviously.
Rarely barks but will whine if forced to watch Fox News.
Netflix is her vibe, but she definitely will give away spoilers for the series DOGS.
Can definitely appreciate a good stick but hates baths and selfies with bad lighting.
Enjoys long leisurely naps on your couch and licking her paws while secretly judging you.
Tolerates cats, but cannot wrap her head around the whole backyard chicken trend.
Ageism is not in her vocabulary. She is gentle with every human- just don’t try to tell her that she can’t have her own reality show.

Housetrained –
Good with children –
Trustworthy while left home alone

A note from HBR:
Matilda is a mildly active girl, but short workouts are best she gets a little weak in the knees if she overdoes it.
However, if you put a squirrel in front of her she will show you EXACTLY how much energy a senior dog can offer!
You may have guessed that she has bit of a prey drive, so a home without small pets is best.
Matilda knows basic commands but needs work with her leash skills.
She is described as gentle and sweet with people both young and old.
Matilda would prefer a home without other animals, so all attention can be on her!

We will leave you with her fav quote from LIZZO

“” I don’t need a crown to know that I’m a Queen””
