ADOPTION UPDATE: ABBY!!!! We love when forever families check in with us and give us updates on their new family members post-adoption. We received the following note from HBR alumni ABBY’s new family: “It will be one month tomorrow since we brought our wee Abby home. We feel she has adapted very well to her new home, our daily routines and the antics of her two senior feline siblings. She is definitely a girl that knows what she wants and we’re thrilled that one of those things is spending time with us outdoors. Abby loves her evening walks as well as lounging poolside to do a little bird, squirrel and chipmunk watching. She has declared a little grass area under our big maple tree as her own. She loves resting there while we play in the pool. This past weekend, we felt Abby was ready to head up to our family cottage. She loved it! She sported her new bright orange life jacket with great confidence as we toured parts of the lake in our paddle boat and canoe. In the mornings, she was so geared up to spend time with us on the dock. We love how she hangs her little head over the edge to make sure we’re all okay in the water. Abby enjoyed her time at the cottage so much that she almost forgot about her snacks! She is a real sweetheart and we all love her so much!
